Boys Amateur – 18 years and younger as of the date of the first round of their qualifying junior championship.

Girls 15U – 15 years and younger as of the date of the first round of their qualifying junior championship.

Qualifications

Participation by invitation only.

Invited players must have won or placed highest at one of the following:

  • the state or regional golf association junior championship
  • the state or regional golf association 15U junior championship
  • the local PGA section Jr. PGA Championship

If an invited player is unable to register by the deadline then the next available highest finisher from the same event can fill the vacated spot.

Players 15 and younger who win an overall state junior championship will compete in the WE ARE THE FIFTY Junior Championship Amateur categories. In such a case, the next highest finishing available player in the same event will be invited to fill the vacated 15U spot.

A player that wins the overall state junior championship in one state and a 15U championship in another state will automatically represent the state in which they won the overall championship. In such a case, the next highest finishing available player in the same event will be invited to fill the vacated 15U spot.

If a player wins multiple state junior championships, then they will represent the state in which they permanently reside.

In order to compete in the State Team Championship, each state must have a registered player in two or more championship categories.
